Animated stinger transitions for OBS
What makes a stinger transition feel sharp in OBS without eating half your VRAM or attention.
On this page
A stinger is a short full-screen wipe between scenes. It should feel like your brand, not a stock flash.
Length and clarity
Most stingers work at 0.6 to 1.2 seconds. Longer reads as lag. The midpoint should fully cover the cut.
File tips
- Transparent WebM or ProRes with alpha when needed.
- Keep resolution matched to canvas.
- Test the transition point in OBS before go-live.
